Say Yes to the Dress

Now it’s no easy task to find a dress that ticks all the boxes but I’ve narrowed it down to a few to take you through to the end of summer!

Let’s start off with a good white dress, the epitome of summer. The trick with plain white is to make sure the fabric is textured or interesting. This one from Desray is gorgeous with the anglaise fabric, tie to accentuate the waist, and perfect sleeve coverage. P.S If you’re on the short side then this one is pretty easy to shorten as it has a straight hem.

Another firm favourite of mine is a denim dress for summer. I bought and love wearing mine from Me & B. I did shorten mine to just below the knee and I definitely don’t wear it with the socks! I style mine with a fabric tie belt from Desray.

Now for some print dresses. This is a mine field as it’s really about your personal preference when it comes to prints, but just about anything goes! Two key styles here though for me is a shirt dress style (half plaquette or button through) or the iconic wrap dress, both are flattering.

This stylish shirt dress from Iconic has a lovely soft but fresh print. You can leave the tie off for a loser fit. The fabric is light cotton so its breathable, which is super important in this heat!
