Chocolate Brown & Blue

Apr 23, 2026 | Colour Combo, Styling Tips, Winter

Hello fashionistas

I have been a busy bee styling and shopping for clients lately in stores a lot and I wanted to share some looks and finds I have spotted while out and about.

If you know me, you will know I am currently obsessed with chocolate brown.Partly because it is such an incredibly versatile colour to wear — it goes with just about every single fashion or classic combination there is. It is fresher and softer than its counterpart, black.

Not sure brown suits you? You don’t need to wear it close to your face. Wear it as a bottom, or lean into your accessories. Brown near the jaw isn’t for everyone — brown on your feet, your bag, your belt? That’s for everyone.

I personally bought the Sweet Peas boot (am obsessed with the cowboy silhouette) and I currently have my eye on the Trenery mock croc loafers – please let me have the strength to resist these!  I also have the animal print scarf from Zara which, bonus, has silk in it.

Here I have created a choc brown & blue combo, blue is very on trend right now. Each week I’ll show you how to combine chocolate with another colour.

THE LOOK

choc brown · blue

the combination
that works every time

A rich chocolate brown grounds any outfit. Pair with blue, from pale sky to deep denim and you have something that feels effortless and completely current.

THE CLOTHING

outerwear · chocolate

Soft Bomber Jacket

tailoring · chocolate

Chocolate Blazer Piper

knitwear · stripe

Stripe Crew Neck Knit

tops · blue

Blue Stripe Poplin Shirt

knitwear · sky blue

Ashleigh Blue Poloneck

denim · blue

High-Waist Jean

the golden rule

You don’t need to wear chocolate head to toe. One choc piece – a blazer, a boot, a bag – is enough to anchor the whole outfit. Let the blue do the lifting.

THE ACCESSORIES

scarves · zara

Animal Print Silk Scarf

Has actual silk in it, worth every cent. Ties the whole choc story together.

styled · how to wear

Worn loose at the neck

Fold in half diagonally, loop loosely.

bags · chocolate

Chocolate Suede Tote

The quiet-luxury bag moment. Unstructured, generous, no fuss. Works with the blue jeans better than anything.

belts · espresso

Clarissa Wide Belt · Espresso

The gold hardware detail makes it feel rich rather than rustic. Cinch over the blazer, instantly more intentional.

MY CURRENT OBSESSIONS

boots · Sweet Peas

Form High Heel Boot

loafers · Trenery

Caela Loafer

Need help with choosing your chocolate brown & blue combo’s? I’d love to help!

Yours in fashion,
Julie
