All work and no play is no fun at all. I find going out for lunch occasionally with my girlfriends is a real ‘pick me up’ and keeps me motivated, and because we are still in the midst of summer, I find wearing a dress to lunch is the best option because it is cool and can be easily dressed up or down.
One of my absolute favourites has to be this coral linen dress that I bought from Amanda Laird Cherry at the Space last summer. She has done an assortment of linen dresses, which are currently on sale in stores now. Here, I have teamed the dress with a pair of tan heels from Indian Summer in Newlands and a tan belt to show off my waistline. The dress can however, easily be worn without a belt and gold sandals instead for a more casual look. To accessorise I’ve chosen a chunky necklace that I bought on a trip abroad. It beautifully complements the outfit, as it brings in similar colours.
The dress below is from Jane Valken and is super light and airy. I have teamed it with a pair of Espadrilles, which gives some height with this length dress. I’ve also paired it with some gorgeous gold earrings with the same pop of blue colour that appears on the dress, then finished the look off with a neutral handbag.
