‘What I am Wearing’ Summer Edition – The Casual Chic Look
When it comes to fashion, sometimes you just have to treat yourself and splurge; and Studio 8 is one of my favourite stores to satisfy this guilty pleasure.
I only recently discovered just how wonderful Studio 8 is. I would always pass the store on my way to Zampelli Hair Studio, however, I finally gave in to the temptation and ventured inside to find out that the store was actually launched many years ago by the lovely Marcelle Savage. Marcelle is an icon in the fashion world, with an incredible eye for fashion. With her keen eye for detail, she brings in some heavy weight international designer brands some of the main ones being; Isabel Marant, Golden Goose and Ash.
This may not be a shop for everyone’s budget, but the good news is that they have recently opened a redemption version just around the corner called Studio 8 The Redemption Shop, which still sells designer labels but at reduced prices making it more friendly on the wallet. In saying that though, there is nothing that gives me more pleasure than being able to purchase that one off exquisite designer piece. So if you are able to do so, then this is a definite shop to pop into for that something special.
This gorgeous red skirt is just one of the fabulous items you will find in Studio 8. The bold colour draws in the eye and the floral pattern gives it that fabulous summer feel. Overall it’s a vibrant, playful and glamorous piece. Team this outfit with a plain black shirt for a bit of contrast. The shoes are also from Studio 8; and are the perfect touch for toning down the skirt, giving the outfit a casual feel. An added bonus is that they are super comfy! A denim jacket is always a winner to complete a casual look (this one is my own). Lastly, add a simple black bag like the one above from Willow Tree.
For another casual summer look, I’ve teamed this stunning chic top from Studio 8 with this gorgeous navy skirt from Kinda. I just love the elegant look of both of these items. To keep it classy, I’ve teamed the look with a beautiful pair of two-toned leather sandals from House of Cinnamon. Finish off the outfit with a casual denim jacket and brown handbag, both of which are my own.
