Shopping this time of year can be a stressful task, especially during these current times one doesn’t necessarily want to be driving all over the place. This is why I love Constantia Village – my one stop shop for groceries and shopping.
As we head into Christmas and the “silly season”, my husband and family never quite know what to buy me…so, it ends up with me having to do my own selection and point him in the right direction, haha! This year on my Christmas wish list is Peter Gilder in Constantia Village, Cape Town’s most loved jewellery store!
I find that investing in a piece of genuine jewellery, even if it’s only every so often or when you can afford it, is better than costume jewellery as you can pass it down through the generations bringing in an element of sentiment.
I just love this bracelet and ring combo! At one point it was frowned upon to mix your metals, but now mixing gold and silver is the way forward!
Here, I am wearing the rosé gold and white gold bracelet and then pulling the same mix through on my ring. I’ve teamed it with a simple light blue jean to keep it more casual, but you can also style it up with a summer maxi dress or skirt.
Here, I’ve kept the multi-strand style ring and bracelet in the same gold to pick up the warm honey and golden tones in my skirt. Gold is perfect for the summer season and it’s so easy to dress up your outfit by adding the right accessories – add a black top, like this one from Something Pretty also in Constantia Village, and you are holiday dinner party ready!
I’ve paired the jewellery with this stunning 100% silk green animal print shirt teamed with blue jeans from Shop Label in Constantia Village.
Not only does Peter Gilder specialise in engagement and bespoke pieces but they offer a full turn key service from design, manufacturing to repairs and evaluations. Go and check out their website as they are having some serious specials at the moment! So if you can, go on and treat yourself to that something special to place under your Christmas tree.
Happy shopping and remember to stay safe!
