As winter looms over us, we may want to use this lockdown time to swap out our wardrobes from summer sandals to winter boots. Here are my top tips and picks that could make a great addition to glam up any women’s closet. Raise your game this winter with bold details and luxe textures!
These white leather ankle boots from Mango are the latest addition to my closet. They have a perception of being a bit “risky”, but I’m having so much fun styling these together with existing items from my wardrobe. Pro- tip: there are many different shades of white one can play with, if ivory is too harsh for your wardrobe try a more muted off-white shade. This season is to be experimented with, even if it is only in the confines of your living area. Wear them as you would a pair of black boots, it’s a classic colour after all!
Ankle boots with a square toe are bang-on-trend but if this is not your thing then the classic almond toe is still a winner, get them now from Woolworths. Offering a little height, they are elegant and pair well with most outfits. Play around with patterns and prints such as these trendy animal print ankle boots from House of Cinnamon to add that statement piece to your closet.
Knee-high boots from Juz Shoes are still a classic so you can’t go wrong buying a pair of these. The colour palette this season ranges from tan, caramels to dark browns first and foremost and then black. Team these boots with skinny jeans or, an A-line skirt and chunky knit, to elongate the legs – a classy and sophisticated look for this colder season.
Metallic boots, whether gold or silver in textured leathers, is also a big trend this winter season so step out of your comfort zone, pun intended and try something new.
PS: look out for online sales everywhere at the moment for some good deals and always try and shop for genuine leather if you can.
Yours in fashion,
