Hello ladies, welcome back to the third term! Just before the school holidays I traveled to London for some R&R and some inspiration for the summer season ahead of us. Now I know it is a while before we can pack our winter warmers away but I must say this cold weather is starting to get me down hence the need to get away! I thought I would share with you some of the delights that await us for summer and the places I went to for entertainment just in case London is on your current agenda. Even just looking at the windows in London is truly inspirational so all in all I had a fabulous and memorable trip. This is a two part blog to keep you ahead of the trends for the upcoming summer season.
There was an explosion (to say the least) of colour from pinks, greens, cobalts and the all new colour trend that is massive overseas, orange. There is a lot and I mean a lot of embroidery detail happening on garments and one thing to note also is the focus is very much on sleeve details. I must say this is so refreshing to see and I can’t wait to wear my summer looks.
A must see is Anthropologie on Kings road, not only for their stunning clothes but also for the incredible artwork installations and the home ware is simply stunning. Thank heavens they were on sale so I walked away with 2 lovely dresses.
Even the shoes are brightly coloured at Anthropologie.
Bluebird cafe quickly became one of my favourite spots for breakfast or coffee break. The weather was absolutely amazingly hot while I was there so sitting outside in the courtyard amongst the flowers was beautiful.
A definite visit is “Sexy Fish” restaurant in Mayfair designed by Damien Hirst but be warned it is heavy on the purse for dinner otherwise have a drink at the bar and soak up the decor and play spot the celebrities.
We popped into the Ivy on Kings road for a drink after dinner. The entrance was decorated in tennis balls all in anticipation for Wimbledon to start.
