I am so happy that the weather is starting to warm up at last, which means you can finally bring out that pair of white jeans gathering dust in the back of your wardrobe. I love wearing white jeans as we head towards spring as it gives you the feeling of summer. You are not tanned enough yet to wear dresses but you can expose skin on your feet and hands as it warms up. Last week I shot a series of “how to wear the white jeans” in studio with Lana Kenney who always takes great photo’s and is great fun to work with. The first series I am going to blog on is how to create the monochrome look using black tops and accessories teamed with denim to give it freshness and your white skinnies. Stay tuned for the rest to follow.
This stunning top from http://www.spree.co.za/Ruff-Tung hides a multitude of sins with it’s bat wing style and the waistband sits nicely over the white skinnies from http://www.woolworths.co.za/store which you can also buy online. Team this with a pair of classic black pumps like these from http://www.melissaza.co.za/en/) and remember your accessories such as this leather textured bag from http://www.willowtreedesigns.co.za/ are super important for pulling this look all together. Hoop earrings in pink gold by http://www.miglio.com/.
Sunglasses are becoming increasingly important as we head to warmer weather and nothing screams diva like a pair of over sized sunnies like this stunning gold and black rimmed pair from Debbie Beattie of Select Sunglasses. There are so many shapes and styles of sunnies on the market at the moment that it can get very confusing with all these options. What I love about Debbie is that she will come into the comfort of your home with a selection and guide you as to which is the best pair for your face. Contact her on firstname.lastname@example.org. I am also mad about the two-tone leather clutch from http://www.willowtreedesigns.co.za/.
For a different take on monochrome team your white skinnies with a short sleeve knit t shirt from Zara and accessorize with a summer scarf from Carol of Lilli email@example.com and don’t forget to use your denim jacket in the cooler months, available at http://www.woolworths.co.za/store. This look has a certain Paris “chicness” to it which appeals to me greatly.
