At the event a very brave lady by the name of Kerry Ann willingly participated in a mini “before & after” make over at the start of the event. Kerry Ann leads a very active lifestyle taking care of her family as well as working part time so she is always running around in jeans, trainers and a hoodie on a daily basis. She was the perfect candidate for a transformation, she has thick hair and would benefit from a brazilian blow out to make it manageable on a daily basis which Kelly from Zampelli styled. Kerry Ann never wears make up during the day so the fabulous make up artists from Sensai at the V&A did a minimal make up face that won’t take longer than five minutes in the morning to apply. Then I dressed her in an easy & comfortable outfit which is key for Kerry Ann and voila she looked fabulous, take a look below.
The above is Kerry Ann’s everyday look, jeans, trainers and a hoodie. There is no point in me dressing Kerry Ann in an outfit that I would wear or is not appropriate for her lifestyle, taste or budget so I take this all into consideration when I am styling a client.
This is Kerry Ann in the “after” look. I dressed her in a pair of black Spanx jeggings from Inner Secrets, a grey poncho which offers warmth, comfort and ease. A scarf to tie the look together, a hands free leather bag from Willow Tree and instead of trainers I added fashionable sneakers from Queue shoes to finish off the look. One of the ladies in the audience asked her if she would have chosen this for herself, Kerry Ann replied “yes I would as it is comfortable, easy to wear and doesn’t stretch me totally out of my comfort zone”.
Thank you Kerry Ann for being so brave and I am sure you will agree with me that she looked fabulous! If you are feeling like you have nothing to wear this winter or that your clothes are looking boring, give me a call and I will help style you fabulous again.
