A look at cocktail or evening wear

We are very much entering the silly season with lots of parties to go too and functions to attend so I thought it would be appropriate to focus on some fashion for these occasions.

Depending on the occasion there is an outfit for everything, so for example if you are going to an evening year end function you can’t go wrong with an LBD but with a difference like this gorgeous geometric cut out dress from Poetry (first one on the grid) short sleeve and perfect knee length, either team with black or nude heels as shown from Queue. I love a little bling and there is no shortish of it this season!

Belinda is wearing a stunning jumpsuit from Something Pretty, if you are not aware by now I am mad about jumpsuits as they are so easy to throw on and you look instantly dressed up, all you need is an evening bag. As a jumpsuit covers quite a bit of flesh make sure you wear an open toe heeled sandal and make sure your toes are painted!

A fabulous dress if you are going to a garden party….no seriously there is tons of embroidery around at the moment which is very pretty and I have knocked it back slightly by teaming the dress from Something Pretty with a pair of pink mules picking up on a colour in the dress from Queue.

Even if you are not going to a formal or fancy party but out for a dinner date it does not mean you can’t dress up. If you wear a pair of white jeans and team it with a printed top from Silva and then accessorise with a bit of bling like the silver wedges from Queue and silver bag from H&M it will immediately update your look.

PS: my stunning silk kaftan dress which is also very appropriate for a special occasion can be ordered from Jenni Button at Philosophy. Either contact her directly otherwise she has a shop in Camps Bay that you can visit.
