I always find August a boring and uneventful month so I decided to treat myself and do a mini makeover!
I felt like my skin was looking dull and needed a boost so I started my makeover off with my longstanding therapist Michaela at Ohmm in Newlands. She did a chemical neck and chest peel to get rid of any buildups and dead skin, followed by a laser treatment on my face to lift pigmentation, reduce redness and improve skin collagen. August and September are great months to do these kinds of treatments before the sun is out in full force.
P.S Ohmm also has a fabulous nail bar on the ground floor.
A week later I took myself off to Kelly from Zampelli Hair Studio for a new haircut. We’d been chatting about going shorter for a while, and after finding some inspo on Instagram, we settled for the ‘Italian bob’, very appropriate I thought!
We started off with some highlights, low lights and a root tint, and then came the chop! I was nervous at first but loved the look in the end. My hair feels lighter and sexier!
I brought my laptop with me so I could get some work done, but you can also get your nails done with the wonderful Yvonne, killing many birds with one stone.
