Summer should be all about colour or at least introducing colour into your wardrobe even if you stick to blacks and neutrals. I often shy away from colour as I feel it draws attention to the wearer but for some reason this season I just could not walk away from some of the beautiful prints that are available this season. If you are not big on colour or bright prints in your clothes remember that you can still introduce them into your accessories such as bags, shoes and summer scarves.
A classic denim jacket is a “must have” in every women’s wardrobe as it goes with just about everything, stick to a mid colour blue denim. Blocked heeled sandals are just a win in this neutral pair as they are easy to walk in from Country Road and bag from http://www.louenhide.co.za/ also available at Smitten in Kenilworth.
The coral top and pants are from a lovely lady I discovered recently thru Instagram. Tasneem travels overseas and brings in stunning one off type pieces from designer labels that you will not find readily available in SA. Go to her Facebook page to see when she is having her next pop up, https://www.facebook.com/events/468640213331195/. Necklace from firstname.lastname@example.org
Same shoes from Country Road and sunnies from Debbie at Select Sunglasses, email@example.com.
I loved the paint type effect on this dress as it gives it a geometric type feel, from Poetry. Again the denim jacket comes in handy.
If you have read my previous posts you will have noticed that I am so enjoying Queue shoes selection of merchandise in stores this season, not only do they have beautiful sandals like this gold pair which also comes in tan but they also stock stunning heels and sporty sneakers, something for every occasion.
I do love gold specifically for summer as it is a “neutral” that will work with all your items, this bag is one of my favourites from Louenhide. The dress which can be worn off the shoulder as well and a great length if you are tall is from Signature Clothing which you can shop on-line at http://www.signatureclothing.co.za/ or at the Tribute shop in Cavendish and V&A.
