Welcome Back & some new looks.

Gosh, I can’t quite believe we are in 2018 and in February of all things, to use a cliche “time really does fly”. I hope you all had a good holiday break and ready to tackle the new year head on. I have taken my time to get started again this year but I am back at work and working hard to bring you some exciting new things for 2018. To start off with their are a few music festivals and social events that always kick start the year so I have compiled a few things to look at or consider.

If you have been on-line or into stores recently you will have noticed that the clothing sales have started. I took myself off to an all time favourite, Inner Secrets and found a stunning black Spanx bodysuit that had been substantially marked down. I combined this stunning piece with a knitted lurex frill skirt from Mr Price (this link takes you straight into the item if you want to purchase the skirt on-line) that cost R200, the combination of these 2 items is great for a special event/evening out on the town and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. The body suit can also be worn under a garment and has fabulous support in all the right places. Earrings from Kingdom in Salt River. Clutch bag is my own.

I was attempting to clear out my wardrobe last weekend when I discovered this old denim jacket that I bought in London donkey’s years ago which goes to show how a classic item never dates. In my rounds at the shops looking for festival items I came along Almost Famous, a young and funky boutique outside Cavendish Square where by I found some beautiful applique iron on’s.

I bought these 3 and promptly took them to my fabulous, well priced tailor to iron on as well as secure with stitching around the edges and voila I have a new updated item in my wardrobe that cost me very little. I wouldn’t do this if you only have one denim jacket as I feel that should stay as is but if you have a second one hanging around then by all means get creative!
